Herewith, the lecture series “Basic Introduction to Buddhism”, which we started in digital form in the first half of 2021, will be continued. We are now entering the seventh half of the year. Newcomers are very welcome. In order to catch up, after registering, they should study the parts of the lecture that have already been discussed independently at home in an accompanying script. It is available at cost price. All previous participants are also very welcome again!
This series of lectures is suitable for those who want to get to know Buddhism from the ground up in its entirety. The program is laid out over several semesters in a row and the material is progressive. In addition to participation that is as continuous as possible, preparation and follow-up work at home and memorization of what has already been learned are required. On the one hand, the lecture will be historically representative, on the other hand, it will attempt to deepen the problematizing examination of the cultural languages, philosophies and theologies of the West. The close connection to the originals, faithfulness to the text and philological accuracy remain decisive.
