The Autumn Japanese language course for beginners 1–3 is designed to expand upon the skills acquired during the 1–1 and 1–2 courses, representing a total of six months of language instruction. In addition to the two syllabaries — hiragana and katakana — participants will master a number of characters (kanji) and be able to hold simple conversations. The primary focus remains on communication. The new textbook used for this course is Nihongo Shokyū 1 Daichi (2012), supplemented by materials created by the instructor.
New students joining at this level with appropriate prior knowledge are warmly welcome; a trial lesson is possible.
