This Course 2-1 is the continuation of Courses 1-6, now in its seventh installment. The new numbering indicates that participants have been learning Japanese at a steady pace for approximately two years. The focus of the course remains on communication. Participants are familiar with the two Japanese syllabaries, hiragana and katakana, as well as some basic characters (kanji). The textbook used is Minna no Nihongo Basic Level 1, Kanji-Kana version (2012), supplemented by materials prepared by the teacher. Those who already have some prior knowledge are welcome to join; a trial lesson is possible.
